- In the mid-1800s, a large numbers of German immigrants arrived to St. Louis, mainly due to political upheavals in Germany and Bohemia in 1848. With the large migration of Germans to St. Louis, soon the principal industry in the area was brewing beer.
- These immigrant brewers introduced a new style of beer to the United States: Lager. Lager beer requires more time and care when brewing. Lager comes from the German word “lagern”, meaning ‘to rest’. Brewers would store the beer in wooden casks, in underground caverns and caves. By the mid-1800s, there were more than 50 breweries in this area. -Budweiser
Budweiser is a pale lager product produced by Anheuser-Bush InBev and was introduced in 1876. Budweiser made it's comeback at the end of prohibition and has become one of the highest selling beers in the United States.

Why I chose this brand:
As a kid, I have grown up and watched Budweiser evolve through the view of my refrigerator. It seems that every year they keep the same classic look, yet when they introduced the new design I was immediately intrigued. The Budweiser bow tie is a brand icon. When they released the bow tie shaped can I couldn't help but give it a try. Although I am a fresh 21 year old and a rookie beer drinker, I can say that Budweiser is my favorite thus far. Budweiser has been innovative and continued to be one of the most popular beer companies in the United States. This company has continued to reinvent themselves to stay at the top and the way in which they use Mobile outreach is one of the key reasons why they stay on top.
